Taking the coins with some reluctance-- look, he was going to buy it, but ok-- Barrow nods, turns back toward the bar, and orders them a couple of ales, as un-hideous as he can manage. He rests there on his elbows, humming idly to himself and pushing a coin around with his finger while the barkeep fills the order, then thanks him and brings the drinks to the table with Flint, where he sets them down and hangs up his own cloak.

Seating himself with a wince over his angry knees, Barrow falls silent a moment. Though he wants nothing more than to be the sort of fellow who's stupid and oblivious and therefore carefree, he recognizes Flint as something of a flighty animal, likely to take off running or strike out and attack if one comes on too strong, talks too much. Sometimes it's best to let him initiate conversation, if he's going to.
And if he's not, at least they're warm and relatively dry.
